Overview

BIDUA Hosting is BIDUA Industries' cloud infrastructure division. It runs VPS, dedicated server and managed hosting infrastructure out of tier-3 and tier-4 Indian data centres, with deployments across Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. The platform is in active production today, serving SMB, agency and SaaS customers across India.

The Indian cloud market is dominated at the top by AWS, Azure and GCP — and at the bottom by a long tail of resellers. The mid-market, where most Indian SMBs and SaaS startups actually live, is poorly served: hyperscaler bills are unpredictable and dollar-pegged, while local resellers cut corners on hardware, networking and security.

BIDUA Hosting occupies that mid-market gap. NVMe SSD-only storage, predictable rupee billing, CERT-In compliant Indian-soil hosting, real engineers on WhatsApp and ticket, and a clean migration path from shared hosting all the way up to bare-metal — without ever leaving the platform.

Indian businesses kept renting servers in Singapore because the Indian alternatives were either too cheap to trust or too expensive to justify. BIDUA Hosting was built to close that gap.

Why now

The opportunity, on its own terms.

01

Data localisation is now a hard requirement.

RBI, IRDAI and SEBI directives plus the DPDP Act 2023 require sensitive Indian data to be processed on Indian soil. Hyperscaler India regions exist but are expensive — the SMB cloud needs Indian alternatives.

02

Hyperscaler bill shock is universal.

Every Indian SMB that runs on AWS or GCP has experienced an unexpected ₹40,000 monthly invoice. Predictable rupee billing is a feature, not a commodity.

03

NVMe is now standard, not premium.

SSD prices have fallen 60% in three years. Any new hosting platform that still ships SATA in 2026 is shipping yesterday's hardware.

04

India has matured as a SaaS-build country.

Zoho, Freshworks, Razorpay and hundreds of smaller SaaS companies prove the demand for non-hyperscaler hosting at scale — predictable, supported, locally billed.

Market opportunity

Sized in three rings.

Serviceable
₹12,000 cr addressable
SMB + SaaS managed hosting

BIDUA Hosting 2030 target
ARR target ₹120 cr
  • India has 2,000+ active SaaS companies (NASSCOM) — most still on AWS/GCP and quietly looking for a rupee alternative.
  • Average SMB monthly hosting spend has risen from ₹650 in 2020 to ₹1,800 in 2025.
  • Managed-hosting attach rates in India are 35% vs <15% globally — Indian customers will pay for managed support.
  • Backup-as-a-service and managed Postgres carry 50–60% gross margins — the real long-term margin drivers.

Business model

How it works, end to end.

01

Three product lines

Shared & cPanel hosting (entry SMB), VPS / Cloud servers (developer-facing), and Dedicated / bare-metal (enterprise and SaaS). All on NVMe-default hardware.

02

Managed services layer

Managed Postgres, managed Redis, managed object storage, backup-as-a-service, DDoS protection — high-margin add-ons that hyperscalers charge 3× for.

03

Multi-DC presence

Production presence in Mumbai (BSE-IX zone), Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. Customers choose region; replication and DR offered as managed services.

04

Rupee billing, transparent pricing

Flat monthly rupee invoices. No data-transfer-out bill shock. Bandwidth included in 95% of plans (with fair-use). GST invoice with HSN code — what Indian CFOs actually need.

05

Cross-stack synergy

Domains via the BIDUA Domains registrar, SSL bundled, networking hardware sourced via PersistIP, and FinWault primitives for SMB invoice credit — a stack no standalone hosting company can match.

Revenue streams

Three compounding phases.

Active today

Core hosting

  • VPS / cloud server subscriptions
  • Dedicated server contracts
  • cPanel / shared hosting
  • SSL and domain attach
Years 1–2 ahead

Managed services

  • Managed Postgres / Redis / MySQL
  • Backup-as-a-service
  • DDoS protection tiers
  • Migration-as-a-service for AWS/GCP exits
Years 2–4 ahead

Platform scale

  • Enterprise / SaaS reserved capacity
  • Compliance-as-a-service (DPDP, CERT-In audits)
  • Object storage and CDN
  • Private cloud for regulated industries (BFSI, healthcare)

Timeline

Patient cadence, deliberate steps.

  1. Active
Three-DC production deployment live. NVMe-default storage. CERT-In compliance and ISO 27001 in progress.
  2. Q1 2027
Managed Postgres and managed Redis general availability. Backup-as-a-service launches.
  3. Q3 2027
Migration-as-a-service team launches — dedicated engineers move workloads off AWS/GCP for SMB customers.
  4. 2028
DDoS protection tier launches. Bengaluru DC expanded. ISO 27001 certification completed.
  5. 2029
10,000 active server instance milestone. Private-cloud product for BFSI / healthcare launches with SEBI/IRDAI compliance overlay.
  6. 2030
25,000-instance scale. Object storage and CDN at GA. Brand positioned as the credible Indian alternative for SMB and mid-market.

Competitive landscape

Who else is here — and why we're different.

01 AWS / Azure / GCP Global hyperscalers: Unbeatable for scale. We do not compete for AI/ML or massive enterprise. We win the SMB and SaaS customer tired of unpredictable USD-pegged billing.
02 Hostinger / DigitalOcean / Linode Mid-market global: Strong developer mindshare but no Indian DC presence for many products, no rupee billing, no Indian-language support.
03 E2E Networks / CtrlS / Netmagic Indian players: Established but enterprise-focused or legacy-stack. SMB and developer experience is weak. The product gap we exploit.
What BIDUA does differently
  • NVMe-default hardware across all tiers — not a premium add-on.
  • Predictable rupee billing with GST invoices and no data-transfer-out shock.
  • CERT-In compliant Indian-soil hosting, ready for DPDP-driven workloads.
  • WhatsApp + ticket support with median response under 2 hours — real engineers, not L1 scripts.

Risks & mitigation

What can go wrong — and how we plan for it.

Risk 1

DC capacity over-commitment

Mitigation: Capacity planning model targets 70% utilisation ceiling. Pre-provisioned colocation contracts in all three DCs with 90-day expansion lead time.

Risk 2

DDoS and security incidents

Mitigation: Layered DDoS scrubbing partnership, in-house WAF, 24×7 NOC, ISO 27001 and CERT-In audit cadence.

Risk 3

Hyperscaler price cuts

Mitigation: We do not compete on per-vCPU price alone. Bundles (compute + bandwidth + support + compliance) reframe the comparison.

Risk 4

Talent retention in DC/NOC ops

Mitigation: Above-market base pay for NOC engineers, ESOP-style retention for senior platform engineers, on-site rotation policy for DC staff.

Risk 5

Regulatory / compliance shifts (DPDP rules)

Mitigation: Dedicated compliance lead, active CERT-In engagement, and pre-built compliance overlay product (sells the change as a feature).

Common questions

Questions partners and investors actually ask.

Where exactly is the data hosted?

Mumbai (BSE-IX zone), Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. Customers choose the region at provisioning. All data stays on Indian soil unless the customer explicitly requests cross-border replication.

Are you cheaper than AWS?

On bare compute per hour, AWS sometimes wins. On total cost of ownership — including data-transfer-out, support, rupee billing predictability, GST invoicing, and managed services — BIDUA Hosting is typically 30–50% cheaper for SMB and mid-market workloads.

What about uptime?

Production SLA is 99.9% on standard VPS, 99.95% on dedicated, with credit notes on breach. Year-to-date measured uptime is consistently above target.

Do you support Kubernetes / Docker?

Yes. Managed K8s is on the 2027 roadmap. Today, customers run K8s on dedicated or VPS clusters with full root access.

Is DPDP / CERT-In compliance built in?

The infrastructure layer is CERT-In compliant and DPDP-ready. Application-layer compliance is the customer's responsibility, but our compliance overlay product (2029) is designed to help close that gap.

Can I migrate from AWS for free?

Yes — for plans above ₹5,000/month, BIDUA Hosting offers free migration-as-a-service: an engineer plans and executes the cutover.

Do you have a status page?

Yes, public real-time status page with per-region and per-service indicators. Historical incidents and RCAs are published.

What's the support response time?

Median first response under 2 hours on tickets, under 15 minutes on production-down WhatsApp pings. 24×7 NOC coverage.
