Live Location Tracking
A privacy-first location layer for Indian families, fleets and field teams — built for trust, not surveillance.
Live location sharing is one of the most quietly important categories in consumer tech. Google Maps does it casually, WhatsApp does it for 60 minutes at a time, Apple Find My only works inside the Apple ecosystem. None of them solves the long-running, low-battery, family-and-fleet use cases India actually has — a school van that should be tracked all year, an elderly parent whose phone should never lose location, a delivery fleet of 50 bikes that should be visible to the dispatcher in real time.
Current options are split into two unsatisfying camps. Consumer apps like Life360 are US-built, expensive in dollars and weak on Indian network conditions. Fleet GPS products are hardware-heavy, B2B-priced and not usable by an ordinary family.
BIDUA's Live Location Tracking platform unifies the three use cases — family safety, fleet/field tracking, and delivery / school van transparency — into a single app with a single backend, priced in rupees, optimised for Indian 4G/5G coverage, and built on a privacy-first principle: only the people you explicitly add can see you, ever.
Knowing where your daughter's school van is at 4:12pm should not require handing your data to a Silicon Valley advertiser. Location is the most intimate signal a person emits. It belongs at home.
The opportunity, on its own terms.
5G rollout finally makes real-time location cheap.
Continuous low-frequency pings at 10–30 second intervals are now bandwidth-trivial across Jio and Airtel networks.
Indian families want safety without surrendering data abroad.
Parents are increasingly aware that 'free' tracking apps monetise location data. A made-in-India, no-ads, paid product has a clear narrative.
School and creche transport is a recurring trigger.
Every news cycle of a school van incident drives demand for transparent live tracking — and most operators today rely on a WhatsApp message at pickup.
Gig and field workforces need lightweight, app-only tracking.
Small businesses with 5–50 field workers cannot justify enterprise GPS hardware but absolutely will pay ₹99 per worker per month for live visibility.
Sized in three rings.
- Family safety: 200M+ Indian smartphone households with multiple devices to share between.
- School transport: ~140M school-going children, of whom a meaningful share use private vans.
- Last-mile delivery: ~10M active gig workers across food, grocery and ecommerce.
- SMB field teams: estimated 5M small businesses with field salespeople, technicians or service crews.
How it works, end to end.
Consumer family plan
₹49/month for 4 family members, ₹99/month for 10. Features: live location, geofence alerts (home, school, office), SOS button, low-battery alerts, place history.
School and creche transport
Per-vehicle subscription (₹299–499/month) plus a parent companion app. Parents see exactly where the van is from pickup to drop. School pays; the platform earns at vehicle and per-parent scale.
Fleet and field workforce
₹99–199 per active worker per month. Manager dashboard with live map, geofenced attendance, route playback, idle-time alerts and exportable reports.
Delivery and dispatch API
Pay-as-you-go API for delivery platforms and dark stores — same backend as the consumer app, white-label embeddable map and ETA components.
Hardware-light add-ons
Optional Bluetooth tags and OBD plug-ins for vehicles and elderly users without smartphones, sold one-time at ₹999–2,499 with the subscription bundled.
Three compounding phases.
Consumer launch
- Family plan subscriptions
- SOS and emergency add-ons
- Annual prepay discounts
- Referral-driven growth
SMB and schools
- School transport contracts
- Field workforce subscriptions
- Bluetooth tag and OBD hardware
- Per-API-call delivery integrations
Platform layer
- White-label embed for marketplaces
- Insurance partnerships (driving-behaviour data)
- Government partnerships for women's safety
- Cross-sell into BIDUA verticals (Maids, Verification)
Patient cadence, deliberate steps.

Who else is here — and why we're different.
- Single backend across consumer + school + SMB — competitors pick one lane.
- Privacy-first: no ad networks, no third-party SDKs, data hosted in India.
- Optimised for Indian 4G/5G and patchy connectivity — graceful degradation, not silent drop-offs.
- Rupee pricing under ₹100/month for families — an order of magnitude below US incumbents.
What can go wrong — and how we plan for it.
Privacy backlash
Mitigation: Explicit opt-in for every shared link, end-to-end encryption for location streams, no advertising business model, transparent retention policy.
Battery drain perception
Mitigation: Adaptive ping intervals, geofence-triggered higher frequency, public benchmarks published quarterly.
DPDP and data-localisation compliance
Mitigation: Indian-hosted infrastructure on BIDUA Hosting, full DPDP-aligned consent and deletion workflows.
Free alternatives from Google / Apple
Mitigation: Specialised verticals — schools, fleets, SOS — that Big Tech bundled features do not address.
Misuse for stalking or coercion
Mitigation: Mandatory consent prompts for every shared link, periodic notifications of who can see you, easy revocation.

naploo.comQuestions partners and investors actually ask.
Who can see my location?
Only the people you explicitly add to your family or team circle. Every connection requires two-way consent, and you can revoke access at any time.
Will it drain my battery?
Adaptive ping intervals target less than 2% additional battery drain per day under normal conditions. Frequency ramps up only near geofences or during active sharing sessions.
Does this work without GPS hardware?
Yes — the app works on any modern Android or iOS device. Bluetooth tags and OBD plug-ins are optional add-ons for vehicles and non-smartphone users.
Is my data stored abroad?
No. All data is hosted in India on BIDUA Hosting infrastructure, in line with DPDP requirements.
Can I track my employee?
Only with their explicit consent and only during work hours by default. Field workforce features require a clear opt-in flow — we will not facilitate covert tracking.
What about school transport?
Schools subscribe per-vehicle and parents get a companion app showing the van's live position from pickup to drop, plus alerts when the child boards or de-boards.
Is there an SOS feature?
Yes. A single-tap SOS triggers location share with chosen contacts and an audible alert. Premium plans include a 24x7 response desk.
How does this compare with Life360?
Same core safety features, built for Indian conditions, priced in rupees, with no advertising and stronger school + SMB use cases.
