Mobile Car Wash
Waterless. Doorstep. Subscription. The car wash, finally rebuilt for the apartment-block era.
Urban India has 70 million+ passenger cars, the vast majority parked in residential societies that no longer permit hose-pipe washes — either due to water restrictions, NGT directives, or simple parking-space reality. Most cars get washed by a society-employed cleaner using a bucket of dubious water for ₹500–800 per month, with no quality standard and no accountability.
BIDUA's mobile car wash concept is a doorstep, app-booked, waterless detailing service operated by uniformed crews on branded EV scooters. Subscription tiers cover daily, alternate-day and weekly cleans, with on-demand deep-detailing as upsell.
Concept is at idea stage. The numbers below are projections derived from published data on Pitstop, GoMechanic and international peers like Spiffy (US) and WashClub. They are scenarios, not commitments.
A traditional car wash uses more drinking water in 20 minutes than a family of four uses in a day. In the city of the next decade, that is not a service problem — it is a regulatory one.
The opportunity, on its own terms.
Apartment-society water bans are spreading.
Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi NCR and Pune have all seen RWA-level or municipal restrictions on hose-pipe car washes in the last three summers. Waterless tech is no longer optional.
The society cleaner economy is breaking.
Domestic worker wages have risen 50% post-COVID and quality is inconsistent. A professional ₹399/month subscription beats a ₹700 unaccountable cleaner.
EV ownership is exploding the detailing market.
EV owners spend 2.3× more on detailing because they care about paint, ceramic coating and interior hygiene. The mobile wash captures this premium customer at the door.
App-based service is finally mainstream.
Urban Company, Pitstop and Yes Madam have trained Indian consumers to book a service technician on a phone — the trust friction is gone.
Sized in three rings.
- Average subscription value ₹399–999/month — gross margin 55–60% after consumables and crew cost.
- Detailing (ceramic coat, PPF, interior shampoo) is a ₹3,500–25,000 upsell at 35–45% margin.
- EV charging top-up during wash is a natural extension — pilot revenue stream from 2028.
- B2B contracts with corporate parking lots and serviced apartments add 25–30% of revenue base.
How it works, end to end.
App-based subscription
Customers pick a plan (4, 8, 15 or 30 washes per month) on the BIDUA Wash app. Each wash gets a 30-minute window. Crew check-in is geotagged. Photos before/after are auto-uploaded to the customer's history.
Waterless chemistry
Plant-based polymer wash that encapsulates dirt without scratching. Each wash uses 250–400 ml of solution and zero running water. Sourced from a tolled formulator initially, in-house formulation from Year 3.
Cluster operations
Each crew (1 detailer per scooter) covers 12–18 cars per shift within a 4 km radius. Cluster supervisors manage 6–8 crews and a small inventory van. Density is everything — we launch society-by-society, not city-by-city.
Detailing upsell
Ceramic coating (₹8–18k), paint protection film consultations, interior steam clean, leather treatment and engine bay detail are booked on-demand. Higher-margin services done by a senior detailer at the customer's parking spot.
B2B parking contracts
Tie-ups with corporate parks, serviced apartments (including potential Naploo properties), malls and airport long-stay parking provide base-load utilisation for crews during weekdays.
Three compounding phases.
Density
- Subscription plans (₹399–999/month)
- One-time wash bookings
- Referral-led growth credits
- Society master contracts
Premium
- Ceramic coating & PPF
- Interior detailing packages
- EV-specific paint correction
- Corporate B2B parking contracts
Platform
- In-house wash chemistry sales
- Franchise / cluster licensing
- Naploo & hospitality channel deals
- Adjacent verticals (bike wash, RV detailing)
Patient cadence, deliberate steps.

Who else is here — and why we're different.
- Waterless-first — actually compliant with NGT and society water rules.
- Density model: we don't enter a city until we can saturate a cluster.
- Photo-verified before/after on every wash via the app.
- Naploo hospitality channel (in-house captive demand from BIDUA properties).
What can go wrong — and how we plan for it.
Customer trust on first-time entry into parking
Mitigation: Background-verified crews, uniform with photo badge, live tracking, geofenced check-in, mandatory pre/post photos.
Wage inflation eroding margin
Mitigation: Density model maximises washes per crew shift. Productivity-linked incentives. EV scooters cut fuel cost.
Monsoon seasonality
Mitigation: Interior detailing campaigns during monsoon. Pause-and-resume flexibility in subscription. Corporate B2B contracts smooth seasonality.
Chemical sourcing concentration
Mitigation: Multi-vendor chemistry from Year 1. In-house formulation by Year 3 to lock in margin and control.
Society access denial
Mitigation: Direct RWA tie-ups. Master service agreements with property managers. Tariff-share with society for adoption.

How does waterless washing actually work?
A polymer-based spray encapsulates dirt particles. The crew wipes them off with a sequence of high-GSM microfibres. The lubricant in the spray prevents scratches. Properly done, the finish is closer to detailing than a hose wash.
What does a subscription include?
Exterior wash, wheels, glass, dashboard wipe-down and tyre dressing on every visit. Interior vacuum once a week on Premium tiers.
How do you enter my parking lot?
Society master contract first, then crew check-in via geofenced app. Customers receive an arrival notification 5 minutes before the crew reaches the car.
What if there's damage during the wash?
Pre/post photos are mandatory. Any disputed damage is covered up to ₹25,000 per incident through our crew liability cover.
Can I pause my subscription?
Yes — up to 14 days per month. Useful for travel, monsoon weeks or temporary relocations.
Is the chemistry safe for ceramic-coated cars?
Yes. The formulation is pH-neutral and safe for ceramic, PPF and matte finishes. Specialist coating restoration is a separate paid service.
When are you launching in my city?
Concept at idea stage. NCR pilot targeted Q2 2027, then Bangalore and Pune in 2028. Sign up on the waitlist to influence the rollout.
Do you do bikes too?
Not at launch. Bike-wash vertical is on the 2031 roadmap.
First-mover detailers wanted.
We are recruiting cluster operators for the 2027 NCR pilot. Bring two years of detailing or field-ops experience and a willingness to build something route-dense and proudly local.
