CloudDrive is a hybrid storage device — a physical USB-C drive with onboard secure storage, paired permanently with an encrypted cloud workspace hosted on BIDUA Hosting. The drive holds 256 GB to 2 TB locally; the paired cloud holds 1 TB to 5 TB. Both stay in sync transparently, and the device includes a built-in WireGuard VPN client so every cloud connection is tunneled.
The product solves a real problem most Indians experience daily: cloud storage is fast when you have bandwidth, USB drives are fast when you don't, and almost no one trusts a single point of failure with their last decade of photos, ID documents, GST returns and family videos. CloudDrive resolves the trade-off by being both — and by being hosted in India under Indian law.
Development is underway. Hardware is being sourced through BIDUA Pods' existing manufacturing partner network in Shenzhen and Noida. Cloud and VPN layers are being built on BIDUA Hosting and PersistIP infrastructure. Target shelf date is Q3 2027.

Is the cloud included with the hardware?
Yes — one year of cloud storage and VPN access is included with every device. Renewals are optional and start at ₹999/year.
Where is my data stored?
Locally on the CloudDrive hardware and, when synced, on BIDUA Hosting servers physically located in India.
Is this faster than Google Drive?
For files on the device — yes, USB 3.2 speeds. For cloud sync, comparable. The advantage is that the file is always available even when you have no internet.
What happens if I stop paying the cloud renewal?
Your hardware keeps working. Your cloud data goes read-only for 90 days, then archived for 6 more months. You can renew at any time during that window.
Can I use it on iPhone / Android?
Yes, via USB-C. Companion apps for iOS, Android, Windows, macOS and Linux.
Is the VPN truly anonymous?
It is encrypted and routed through Indian-jurisdiction servers. Per CERT-In rules, basic connection logs are maintained, but your content remains end-to-end encrypted.
Is this for businesses or individuals?
Both. CloudDrive Lite/Pro/Max are consumer SKUs. CloudDrive for Business adds multi-device sync, admin console and per-seat licensing.
