Video Visiting Card
A business card that plays a 30-second pitch when you tap it — your handshake, on a chip.
BIDUA's Video Visiting Card is a physical NFC + QR-enabled business card that, when tapped against any modern smartphone, opens a hosted personal profile page playing the cardholder's 30–60 second video introduction. The same card holds the holder's live contact details, social media handles and a one-tap save-to-contacts button.
It is being built as a SaaS-plus-hardware product. The hardware (a wood, metal or PVC card with a programmed NFC chip) is a one-time purchase. The backend profile, video hosting, analytics and contact-sync features run on BIDUA Hosting under a small annual subscription — meaning the user can change their job, phone number, video or photo any time without reprinting a single card.
The product is in development with first batches expected by Q2 2027. India already buys 1.5 billion paper business cards a year; the addressable conversion to digital is enormous and the technology stack is well understood. The opportunity is execution, distribution and trust.
A paper card lives in a wallet, then a drawer, then a bin. A Video Visiting Card lives in someone's phone — where it can ring, message, sell and follow up.
The opportunity, on its own terms.
NFC is finally universal.
Every Android since 2018 and every iPhone since the XS supports background NFC read — the friction barrier that killed earlier digital-card attempts has dissolved.
Paper cards are environmentally indefensible.
ABCs, corporate ESG reports and global brands are actively migrating away. Indian enterprises are following.
Hybrid networking is the default.
Post-pandemic, professionals juggle in-person meetings, LinkedIn DMs, WhatsApp and email simultaneously. A single tap that hands over all of those at once is genuinely useful.
Recurring revenue model works.
Users update their video, photo and contacts repeatedly — recurring SaaS for a card you bought once is a sound business compared to selling paper cards once every two years.
Sized in three rings.
- India prints ~1.5 billion paper business cards annually — even a 0.05% conversion is 750,000 digital cards.
- Indian professional population (executive + SMB owner + freelancer) exceeds 65 million.
- Indian enterprise onboarding teams routinely procure 200–2,000 cards per company; clear B2B sales motion.
- Strong cross-sell into BIDUA divisions — Naploo concierge staff, BIDUA Pods sales engineers, BIDUA Beauty stylists.
How it works, end to end.
Hardware card sale
Three card SKUs — PVC (₹799), bamboo/wood (₹1,499), and brushed metal (₹2,999). One year of profile hosting and video included with every card.
Annual SaaS subscription
₹499/year per profile after Year 1. Includes profile hosting, video updates, analytics, lead capture and CRM export. Cards keep working with or without active subscription, but advanced features sleep on lapse.

Custom branding & co-branding

Lead capture & CRM
Premium tier (₹999/year) adds two-way contact capture, automated follow-ups and integration with Zoho/HubSpot/Salesforce — turning the card into a small CRM endpoint.

What can go wrong — and how we plan for it.
Low subscription renewal
Mitigation: Bundle Year 2 free for prepaid 3-year plans. Free tier preserves basic profile so the card always works.
iOS NFC quirks
Mitigation: Dual-mode card — NFC for newer phones, printed QR fallback for older devices.
Brand fragmentation in a busy market
Mitigation: Premium-positioning, BIDUA-portfolio launch references, and an enterprise-first GTM rather than chasing freemium consumers.
Hardware counterfeiting
Mitigation: Cryptographically signed NFC payloads tied to issued user accounts. Counterfeits cannot bind to real profiles.
Card loss / privacy concerns
Mitigation: Profile can be instantly revoked or migrated to a replacement card. Optional PIN gate before video play.

Naploo™ Smart Pod Hotels
Anchor customer for concierge and front-desk staff cards across hotel properties.
naploo.comQuestions partners and investors actually ask.
Do I need an app to use it?
No. The recipient just taps their phone to your card — their default browser opens your profile. No installs.
Does it work on iPhones?
Yes, iPhone XS and later support background NFC read. For older devices, the printed QR on the card works as fallback.
What if I change my job or phone number?
Edit your profile online — your card automatically reflects the new details. No reprinting.
How long does the card last?
The NFC chip itself is rated for tens of thousands of taps. PVC cards last 3–5 years of daily use; metal cards effectively last a lifetime.
Can I see who scanned my card?
Yes, on the analytics tier — timestamps, approximate locations and optional lead capture.
Is my video stored privately?
Yes, hosted on BIDUA Hosting in India. You control privacy — public, link-only or PIN-gated.
Can my company order 100 cards for our team?
Yes — enterprise team plans include admin console, branded templates and bulk ordering at ₹399/user/year.
What happens if I don't renew the subscription?
The card keeps working with basic profile and contacts forever. Premium features (analytics, CRM, video updates) sleep until you renew.
