Overview

Indian outbound travel hit 30 million trips in 2025 and domestic flying crossed 160 million passengers. Yet most travellers still pack a brick of a charger with a tangle of cables. BIDUA's Wireless Travel Charger is a 120-gram foldable pad with universal 100–240 V input, a Qi2 fast-charge surface and a flip-out stand that doubles as a bedside dock.

The device runs on a single GaN-based AC adapter integrated into the body. Pop the prong, plug it into any socket from a Mumbai hotel to a Heathrow lounge, and your phone, earbuds case and smartwatch all charge wirelessly off a single pad. No cables, no bricks, no second adapter.

Status is design phase. Core electronics are off-the-shelf from a Shenzhen reference design we have licensed. The Indian value-add is the foldable mechanism, the BIS-certified power section, and the brand and warranty footprint.

The most under-estimated category in consumer electronics is the device you reach for before noticing you reached for it. Travel chargers live in that quiet space — invisible when they work, fatal to the trip when they don't.

Qi2 standard finally arrived in India.

WPC released Qi2 in late 2024, bringing MagSafe-grade alignment to the open standard. Every flagship phone shipping in 2026 supports it. The market is moving from "nice to have" to "expected accessory".

GaN charger prices have collapsed.

GaN power chips that cost USD 12 in 2022 are USD 3.50 today. A 30 W GaN-based wireless travel charger is now achievable at a ₹2,000 retail price with a real margin.

Travel rebound is structural.

Post-pandemic Indian air travel is up 28% over 2019 baseline and projected to double by 2030. Accessories that solve a specific traveller pain point ride that secular curve.

Hotel and hospitality demand.

Margin compression from Chinese imports

Mitigation: Hospitality and corporate-gifting B2B channels are sticky and price-insensitive. D2C is a brand play, not a margin play.

Risk 2

Qi2 standard adoption slower than expected

Mitigation: Hardware supports both Qi and Qi2. Backward compatibility means no SKU stranded on a single standard.

Risk 3

Power-input voltage failure in older hotel sockets

Mitigation: Wide input tolerance (90–260 V), built-in surge protection, and replaceable fuse. Field test across 50 Indian hotel grids before launch.

Travel-pattern disruption (pandemic, geopolitical)

Mitigation: Domestic-flight and hospitality channels are insulated from international shocks. Lite SKU for daily commuters extends the addressable use case.
